The Extraordinary Adventures of Arsène Lupin
Arsène Lupin, the man of a thousand disguises. Whether it's being a chauffeur, detective, bookmaker or Russian physician, there is no limit to what the master thief Arsène Lupin will do to get his way. A friend to the poor and an enemy to the powerful, being arrested means nothing to the master of disguises. Follow the escapades of the beloved gentleman thief, Arsène Lupin, as he confounds and outsmarts those who try to keep him behind bars.
Arsene Lupin versus Herlock Sholmes
“Sholmes? Oh! I confess he is a worthy foe.” When a writing desk containing a winning lottery ticket goes missing, fingers soon point to gentleman-thief Arsène Lupin. Lupin leaves the French police stumped, so famous English detective Herlock Sholmes and his friend Wilson are called upon to bring Lupin down. Will Sholmes’ wits stand up against the master of disguises? Maurice Leblanc’s beloved Lupin goes head-to-head in a battle of wits against his rival Sholmes in this collection of short stories.
The Hollow Needle
A tremendous treasure, belonging to the kings … The royal treasure hidden in the Hollow Needle is a legend; the gold of France, battlefield booty and stolen money is believed to be hidden away in a secret location. Gentleman-thief and friend to the poor, Arsène Lupin is eager to solve the mystery of the Hollow Needle and find the treasure within. Up against keen boy detective Isidore Beautrelet, has Maurice Leblanc’s master of disguises finally met his match?
813
“Why should Lupin, who has never resorted to murder, kill a man?” Falsely accused of murder after one of his burglary victims is found dead, gentleman-thief Arsène Lupin is determined to solve the case. However, things are never as they seem and Lupin must juggle pseudonyms, disguises, and mysterious clues, all whilst evading an unknown enemy who wants to bring him down. This collection of short stories showcases the master of disguises at his finest, as he tries to clear his name.
The Crystal Stopper
“She’s after the crystal stopper too!” When Arsène Lupin’s attempt to rob Deputy Daubrecq goes horribly wrong, his two associates are arrested and sentenced to the guillotine. While attempting to free his friends, Lupin must also dodge a mysterious blackmailer, who has an incriminating document rolled up inside a little crystal stopper. Going up against the ruthless detective Daubrecq and a mysterious blackmailer, master thief Lupin faces his toughest opponents yet.
The Confessions of Arsène Lupin
“Lupin,” I said, “tell me something about yourself.” Gentleman-thief Arsène Lupin is known as a friend to poor and enemy of the rich. But how did he gain his formidable reputation? This collection of short stories has Arsène Lupin looking back at some of his most daring exploits in his career as a gentleman-thief. Tales of stolen wedding rings, murder weapon scarves and Lupin’s own marriage give an insight into the mind of the master of disguises.
The Teeth of the Tiger
“… she left her son the sum of four hundred million francs.” A tremendous amount of money is left in a will, but none of the heirs can be found. Friend to the deceased, Don Luis Perenna must track down the heirs, but it isn’t long before someone turns up dead and the investigation turns into a murder case. And where is master thief Arsène Lupin in all of this? Lupin is believed to be dead but are things what they seem? Explosive twists and turns await Don Luis in this novel from Maurice Leblanc.
The Golden Triangle
“Little Mother Coralie is threatened with a fresh danger…” When Captain Belval rescues his nurse Coralie from tragedy, they are thrown into a conspiracy involving murder, money and bags of gold. Arsène Lupin, disguised as Don Luis Perenna, returns to get to the bottom of all their secrets and more importantly, get his hands on some of the gold.
